Offseason Empire FAQ

Everything you need to know about Offseason Empire — the free, browser-based football GM simulation game. No download, no account, no paywall. If your question isn’t here, the fastest way to get the answer is to start a game.

Is Offseason Empire really free to play?

Yes — completely free, forever. There's no paywall, no trial timer and nothing locked behind a purchase. You can play the entire game, every season, for $0. If you love it you can optionally support the build on Patreon or leave a one-time tip, but that's a thank-you, not a requirement.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Offseason Empire runs right in your web browser at app.offseasonempire.com — no installer, no app store, no launcher. Open the link and you're running your franchise in seconds.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. The game is built to work on mobile browsers as well as desktop, so you can run your offseason from a phone, tablet or computer. Most players are on mobile. You can add it to your home screen for a full-screen, app-like feel.

Do I need to create an account or sign up?

No account, no email, no login. Offseason Empire doesn't collect personal data — you just start playing. Your game saves so you can pick a franchise back up where you left off.

Is there actual on-field gameplay, or is it all front office?

Offseason Empire is a pure GM simulation — you run the front office. You draft, scout, trade, manage the salary cap and set your 53-man roster, then simulate the results. You're the general manager, not the quarterback: the drama is in the boardroom and the war room, not the box score.

Is it based on the real NFL, with real teams and players?

No. Offseason Empire uses a fictional 32-team pro football league with its own players, so there are no licensing limits on what you can build. It captures the feel of running an NFL front office — the draft, the cap, the trades — without being tied to real names.

Can I save my game and come back to it later?

Yes. Your franchise saves as you go, so you can close the tab and return to the same team, roster and cap situation later. Plenty of players keep a save running across many sessions.

What is the best free football GM simulator?

If you want a browser-based, front-office football GM sim that's genuinely free with no download and no account, Offseason Empire is built exactly for that. See how it stacks up against the other free options on our best free football GM games comparison.

How is Offseason Empire different from other football GM games?

Most football games put you on the field or bury the front office under Sunday gameplay. Offseason Empire is the opposite — it's front-office-first, free, runs in the browser, and needs no download or account. It's lighter to jump into than desktop sims like Front Office Football, while staying focused on the GM decisions that matter: the draft, scouting, trades and the cap.

How long does a game take?

It's up to you. You can move fast — make your picks, work the phones and simulate ahead — or take your time building a roster over many sessions. There's no forced session length; it fits a five-minute break or a long strategy night equally well.

Who made Offseason Empire?

Offseason Empire is an independent game designed and built by Frank Conjerti, with the design, brand and simulation all crafted solo. It's a passion project for football front-office fans, which is why it stays free and ad-light.

How can I support the game?

The best free support is playing and telling other GM-sim fans about it. If you want to chip in, you can back the build on Patreon or leave a one-time tip — that funds new features and keeps the game free for everyone. Look for the support options on the home page.
